While it looks as if last night’s episode of Raw may have been Matt Hardy’s WWE swansong, now comes an update on Jeff Hardy’s WWE status.

Jeff has been out of action with a knee injury since April of last year, and his time out has seen the former WWE Champion dealing with certain legal issues and personal problems in addition to rehabbing his injury.

According to PWInsider, Jeff is due to head to the WWE Performance Center next week as he steps up his recovery. Once at the PC, Hardy will be assessed by WWE medical staff to determine just when the Charismatic Enigma will be able to step back into the squared circle.

As alluded to, the fact that Matt Hardy’s contract expires on March 1st suggests that the elder Hardy brother will be soon exiting WWE. For Jeff, however, his contract with the company has been frozen due to the aforementioned time out on the sidelines.

Away from his in-ring return, Jeff Hardy is due back in court on April 6th in relation to the DUI charge he received back in October.
