Backstage Update On Scary WWE Raw Match Finish
Imperium vs. Jey Uso and Kofi Kingston ended prematurely on last night's Raw.
Imperium's Giovanni Vinci has claimed he is "fine" after featuring on the receiving end of an abrupt, scary finish on last night's WWE Raw.
Vinci and stabelmate Ludwig Kaiser were facing Jey Uso and Kofi Kingston. Towards the end, Vinci went to the top rope and leapt off into a Kingston dropkick, but something went awry. While it may not have been immediately apparent in real-time, Kofi accidentally connected with Vinci's face as the Imperium man was on the way down, as shown in the replay.
Both wrestlers lay on the mat in what initially looked to be a build towards simultaneous tags. This wasn't the case, however, as a doctor was soon in the ring, prompting the referee to call the bout off.
Match was immediately stopped after this spot between Kofi Kingston & Giovanni Vinci.

Vinci was seen walking to the back of his own volition after the contest. Additionally, he has since tweeted the following:
Sto bene. Grazie mille ??

Roughly translated from Italian to English, this means "I'm fine, thanks a lot."
While the match finish made for a rough moment on television, WWE's medical team ultimately made the right call in ending it if there was concern over Vinci.
