A potentially troubling scene played out as Sheamus wrestled Humberto Carrillo on this week's episode of WWE Raw, with the referee abruptly calling the match off when Carrillo signalled for help after a nasty bump to the outside.

The United States Title challenger was attempting to hit the champion with a sunset flip powerbomb from the apron. Sheamus' full 250lbs landed on Carrillo's knee, seemingly hurting him - and bringing the match to a sudden end.

Per PWInsider's Mike Johnson, the bout's planned finish would have seen Sheamus go over, successfully retaining the US Title.

Following on from yesterday's reports that Carrillo isn't injured, Johnson adds that the high-flier will only miss time if WWE decides to turn this week's finish into a storyline and have him sell the knee.

Carrillo and Sheamus have been feuding for several months now, with this their first match of any kind in WWE. Mansoor, who rubbed shoulders with the duo in his debut last week, was nowhere to be seen. Johnson states that the Saudi Arabian was originally scheduled to appear on Raw before the show's creative changed and whatever was planned for him was dropped.
