Backstage Update On The Usos WWE Return
The multiple-time tag champs haven't been seen on WWE TV for two months.
Having been off WWE TV after Jimmy’s most recent run-in with the law this past July, it looks as if The Usos are getting set to return to in-ring action.
As per Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Jimmy and Jey Uso are currently being eyed to be brought back to WWE programming as part of the SmackDown roster. Before their hiatus, of course, the tandem was a Raw act – meaning that any such jump to SmackDown could well be done as part of the impending WWE draft.
Then again, WWE being WWE means that The Usos could just turn up on SmackDown with no storyline reasoning.
Jimmy and Jey have been gearing up for a return since the end of August, with the pair having been out of action since Jimmy – real name Jonathan Fatu – received a DUI arrest on July 25th.
That incident was sadly just the latest of several that have seen the brothers land themselves in trouble with the police, and this most recent arrest meant that The Usos had to be pulled from a planned SummerSlam signing event in Toronto, Canada.
As for the aforementioned WWE draft, that will take place on the October 11th edition of SmackDown and the October 14th Raw offering.
