Backstage Update On Thunder Rosa's Status With AEW And NWA

With the NWA now back in action, there's an update on Thunder Rosa's current AEW status.

Having appeared regularly for AEW while the NWA was on hiatus for the past year or so, many have wondered what the current status of Thunder Rosa is now that Billy Corgan’s National Wrestling Alliance has returned to action.

From Fightful Select, Rosa is said to be contracted with the NWA until the end of the year.

Despite this, La Mera Mera is expected to continue working with AEW in much the same way that she has in recent months. So much so, she’s in Jacksonville today for the Dynamite and Dark tapings.

The former NWA World Women’s Champion competed at the NWA’s Back for the Attack this past Sunday, coming up short in a barnburner of a #1 contender’s match against Kamille. Rosa also appeared on last night’s return episode of NWA Powerrr, where she was confronted by an apologetic Melina. Where NWA programming is concerned, the promotion completed their return batch of tapings earlier this week.

In regards to her AEW future, Tony Khan's company is clearly a major fan of the hugely talented Thunder Rosa, with big things seemingly on the horizon for Rosa following her victory over Britt Baker in last week's brutally brilliant Lights Out encounter.
