Backstage Update On Vince McMahon From HUGE WWE Raw Meeting
The WWE Chairman had strong words for his writers yesterday.
WWE have some huge, huge plans lined up for next week's episode of Monday Night Raw, and it sounds like a number of them may have come from a big backstage meeting held by Vince McMahon and his colossal team of writers yesterday.
Per Bryan Alvarez on a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Live, the gathering went on for most of the day and the Chairman was running the show, getting "on everybody to be creative."
It sounds like McMahon was trying to inspire his team to come up with their very best ideas, which could explain the huge Rey Mysterio vs. Gran Metalik, Cedric Alexander vs. AJ Styles, and Becky Lynch/Charlotte Flair vs. Bayley/Sasha Banks matches.
This is a particularly notable episode of Raw as not only is it the Clash of Champions go-home, but also WWE's return to their old spiritual home, Madison Square Garden. In addition, the big red flagship is going up against the NFL's opening round of fixtures. The broadcast will clash with a New England Patriots vs. Pittsburgh Steelers game.
This all sounds very exciting. Let's hope it results in another strong episode of Raw.
