With former NWA Women's Champion Kamille nowadays a free agent, there's now an update on the future of the powerhouse.

Previously, there were reports of WWE interest in Kamille, whilst this past week saw her backstage at AEW Dynamite, where she was said to simply be visiting friends.

Now, via Fightful Select, Kamille's appearance backstage at Dynamite saw her speak with "several people of influence", stoking rumours that AEW could well have interest in the North Carolina native.

As for WWE, this report confirms that "overtures" were made in the past several weeks to sign Kamille, with previous speculation suggesting the 30-year-old was offered an NXT deal.

Despite all of this interest, Kamille, as of this weekend, remains a free agent after choosing to pass on triggering a six-month option with Billy Corgan's National Wrestling Alliance.

Having made her in-ring debut in 2017, Kamille debuted for the NWA in 2018 as the insurance policy of then-NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis, becoming a pivotal part of Aldis' Strictly Business stable.

It would take until January 2020 for Kamille to make her TV in-ring debut for the promotion, and by that June she'd defeated Serena Deeb to become the NWA Women's Champion. In an 812-day reign, Kamille would defend that title against major names such as Chelsea Green, Melina, Leyla Hirsch, Taryn Terrell, Taya Valkyrie, and Allysin Kay. As it stands, Kamille last wrestled in November, with her having eventually dropped the NWA Women's Title to Kenzie Page at NWA 75 back in August
