Talk that WWE could be considering taking NXT out of Full Sail University and putting the acclaimed brand on a full touring schedule has swirled since the show debuted on USA Network in September, though it looks like we're still several months away from this becoming a reality.

According to a new report from PWInsider, WWE is bound to a contract with the Winter Park, Florida venue until the end of March 2020, preventing them from taking the black and gold show away from the small, intimate room.

This follows up from Dave Meltzer's October report that WWE were considering switching NXT to venues similar in size to those AEW use for Dynamite sometime in early 2020.

Moving away from Full Sail University would have its ups and downs. On the positive side, the show would unquestionably look and feel like a bigger deal than it does at the moment, though it'd risk losing the raucous, cauldron-like atmosphere generated in that little studio. Regardless, the promotion may see it as an essential step, and we can probably expect further developments in this story as March 2020 draws nearer.
