Dave Meltzer has provided more information on talk of WWE talent being frustrated with The Rock.

After it was noted earlier this week how some talent behind-the-scenes weren't exactly happy with the fact Dwayne Johnson is able to get away with swearing his way through promos and not following WWE's strict guidelines - something The Rock would then seemingly address on social media - Meltzer spoke about said frustrations and that "double standard" in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

According to Meltzer, one person told him that Rocky can do whatever he likes, and because he's on the TKO Board of Directors, no one is going to say a word to him. It's said that Johnson also has a whole team of representatives that handle issues "while he stays out of the mess with the people he directly deals with."

However, a source did note to Dave that there was a feeling that the days of the double standards often found when Vince McMahon was in charge were finally finished, but then The Rock "shows up and it's exactly the same."

Despite a memo being sent out by WWE a few weeks ago saying there could be no swearing - not even on social media - due to WWE being a PG company, The Rock went and did did both of those things.

And with talent being informed that WWE was publicly traded and TKO management wanted the company to be fully PG-13, many felt that, with Rock being on the Board, he should be following those rules and setting an example.

Some talents also feel they could get more traction in promos and on social media if they were similarly allowed to take the handcuffs off. Even top stars like Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes have to generally stick to these rules - though Rhodes was given a bit of freedom on Raw in his comeback interview this week.

But at present, it appears to be one rule for Dwayne and one frustrating rule for everyone else.
