Kevin Owens was originally scheduled to retain his WWE Intercontinental Title at WrestleMania 32 last night.

A surprising booking decision was instead made for Zack Ryder to win his first IC title despite years of being stuck in the wilderness of the roster and looking likely to be released at any given moment.

There's no confirmation yet as to when exactly the finish was changed but sources told F4Wonline.com that the finishes for last night's show weren't finalised until as late as 4pm - 5pm local time.

We should note that one WhatCulture.com employeekept track of the latest betting odds for Sunday night's show and noticed a dramatic fall of Zack Rnyder's odds of winning which wentfrom 66/1 to an incredible 1/5 in no time. Huge insider money from someone in the know must have been put on Ryder for the odds to have made him such a clear favourite.

F4WOnline.com sources noted that talent skipped a lot of the usual production steps for WrestleMania because WWE officials expected that a lot of the match finishes would changeon the morning of the show anyway. Some WWE talent didn't take part in the usual match rehearsals or pre-show shooting for this very reason.
