Backstage WWE Update On Edge Vs Randy Orton At Backlash 2020

Here's what to expect from next weekend's already-taped WrestleMania 36 rematch.

With WWE currently in a pattern of taping TV and PPV content ahead of the material’s intended air date, there’s news coming out about the Edge vs. Randy Orton match that is due to take place at Backlash this coming Sunday.

According to Wrestling Observer Radio, said Edge vs. Orton contest was taped at the WWE Performance Center yesterday. Despite previous reports, however, the rest of the Backlash card has yet to actually be shot.

In terms of this WrestleMania 36 rematch, Edge vs. Randal Keith is believed to be a bout which involves a whole lot of selling, and has been constructed to be a legitimate all-round great wrestling match - which editing to be used to further enhance this.

For those who maybe thought that the Rated RKO pair’s ‘Mania match went a little long, this new report does indicate that this Backlash offering is likewise a hefty, lengthy match.

Despite the prospect of another overly-long, plodding WrestleMania slugfest, the early word is that this latest battle between Edge and Orton will be a great match built around two supremely ring smart workers busting their asses to put on something special.

Of course, we’ll all have to wait until this Sunday to see the end result – but for now, all signs point to these two multiple-time World Champions putting on quite the contest at next weekend’s Backlash PPV.
