It looks like being a big summer for the Modern Day Maharaja.

Having picked up consecutive wins over Jeff Hardy on both Main Event and this week’s Raw, it looks as if big things are in store later this year for Jinder Mahal.

As per WrestlingNews.co, the plan is for the Modern Day Maharaja to embark on a major feud with Drew McIntyre across the summer.

That same feud was supposedly meant to happen last year once the Scottish Warrior became WWE Champion for the first time, although a knee injury to Mahal meant that any plans to have these old 3MB pals do battle had to be put to one side.

Having now recovered from that knee injury, Jinder – himself a former WWE Champion, of course – made his Raw return this past Monday, with Veer and Shanky at his side. Throughout Mahal’s absence, McIntyre instead found himself involved in rivalries with the likes of Randy Orton, Sheamus, The Miz and Bobby Lashley.

Up next for Drew is a triple threat contest against Braun Strowman and WWE Champion Bobby Lashley this Sunday at WrestleMania Backlash – with Lashley having dethroned McIntyre for that title at WrestleMania 37.
