Bad Bunny is your new WWE 24/7 Champion, having won the company's designated comedy belt by pinning Akira Tozawa on last night's episode of Raw.

This went down shortly after Tozawa had taken the strap from 24/7 division mainstay R-Truth. Bunny and onscreen ally Damian Priest were being interviewed while this went down and decided to get in on the action when Tozawa barged against Priest while celebrating, leading to Damian throwing him into a flight case. At Priest's behest, Bunny pinned Tozawa, taking the belt.

In victory, Bunny becomes the 138th WWE 24/7 Champion. He joins an increasing line of non-wrestlers and celebrities to win the green-and-gold strap, including Enes Kanter, Rob Gronkowski, Peter Rosenberg, and Santa Claus.

Bunny has been a WWE regular since performing his Booker T single at Royal Rumble 2021 on 31 January. His alliance with Priest is reportedly leading to a WrestleMania 37 tag match with The Miz and John Morrison and he is already making a difference to WWE's bottom line, having brought in around $500,000 in merchandise money over the past few weeks. His presence is a key part of WWE's plan to attract younger viewers.
