WWE's Bayley - last sighted in June 2021 defeating Bianca Belair and Cesaro alongside Seth Rollins in a mixed tag team match on SmackDown - has teased her return following the torn ACL that has sidelined her for almost a full year at this point. She took to Twitter yesterday and posted the following:

This image of a close-up wrestling boot is self-explanatory - but teasing all sorts of things is ingrained in the DNA of the professional wrestler, so should not be taken as proof of an imminent return, necessarily. The timeline does however match up.

You may remember that Bayley let slip not too long ago that she had sought the advice of FTR's Dax Harwood. When asking for a list of Bret Hart matches in which he sells the leg, Hitman mega-fan Dax replied with a sizeable list within literally seconds. This might indicate that Bayley is set to return, when indeed it happens, in the babyface role.

This new arc is probably to be expected; most heels return as babyfaces after a lengthy layoff, and Bayley in particular earned massive respect for performing as a rare bright spot during WWE's pandemic era.
