Becky Lynch Vs. Mickie James Added To WWE Elimination Chamber 2017
Becky finally gets her hands on "La Luchadora"!
WWE.com announced on Tuesday that the bad blood between Becky Lynch and Mickie James will lead to a high-profile encounter: a match between the two women has been signed for Sunday's Elimination Chamber PPV.
Though James competed in November at NXT's TakeOver: Toronto show, she made her first WWE main roster appearance in nearly seven years on January 17. On that episode of Smackdown Live, Becky challenged Smackdown Women's Champion Alexa Bliss for the title in a steel cage match, but came up short following interference from La Luchadora. Becky managed to subdue the woman who had been costing her matches for weeks, but when she unmasked La Luchadora, the mysterious woman was revealed as James. James and Bliss then laid Becky out, cementing their alliance.
Since then, James has kept her sights set on Becky, criticizing her and the rest of the stars of the Women's Revolution for forgetting their predecessors. Becky has fought back, notably participating in a six-woman tag team match at Royal Rumble that saw her squad defeat James's.
Elimination Chamber airs live on the WWE Network this Sunday at 8:00 PM ET.
