Bianca Belair Feared THIS Segment Would Wreck Her WWE Career

WWE's 'EST' was super-nervous about performing this skit in front of cameras.

Bianca Belair was very worried that a throwaway segment on WWE TV could wreck her gimmick and thus her entire company career.

Belair told ITR that she was "so nervous" for an obstacle course skit on the 22 January 2021 episode of SmackDown. In storyline, Bayley had set up an exhibition so Bianca could prove she was the "FastEST and StrongEST" on the roster.

Privately, Belair was fretting about tripping when jumping hurdles, or being unable to pick up Otis and carry him for the grand finale. That, she pointed out, would've made a mockery of her own promo claims about being the 'EST' of WWE.

SmackDown played out in front of the ThunderDome screens due to the COVID pandemic, but Bianca was still scared of embarrassment. This, despite being a largely-forgettable segment for fans watching from home, was a make-or-break moment for the wrestler.

Slip, and she might have to give up a persona she'd worked so hard to promote. Amazingly, Belair claims she was actually more nervous for this non-wrestling segment that she has been for any WrestleMania matches to date.

She was relieved when it was over.
