Bianca Belair found out who her first challenger for her newly won Raw Women's Championship will be, though it came quite unceremoniously Monday night.

Sonya Deville came out after Belair had dispatched with Queen Zelina and buttered the champ up. She talked about her big title win at WrestleMania 38, overcoming her eye injury, and applauded her desire to face all challengers. Deville then produced an open contract, having goaded Bianca into signing it. Belair knew she was getting duped but signed it anyway.

That's when Sonya brought out the challenger: Deville herself. The WWE official jumped Belair from behind and laid her out before signing the contract.

Afterward, Adam Pearce was furious with her for abusing her position as a WWE official, but he didn't do anything to stop her or add any roadblocks. It's unclear at this point whether this will lead to Deville's backstage role being nixed and if she'll return to the ring fulltime, or if she'll continue to play matchmaker and part-time superstar.

Deville has only had five televised matches since August 2020, when she lost a Loser Leaves WWE match. This would be her first singles title one-on-one match since a 2017 match against Ember Moon for the NXT Women's Championship.
