Big Change Coming To WrestleMania 36 Tag Team Title Match?

Here's what could go down in the absence of The Miz...

A Triple Threat for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships is currently advertised for WrestleMania 36, with The Miz and John Morrison set to put their straps on the line against The Usos and The New Day in a Ladder Match, though this probably won't be how things go down.

As reported following last week's 'Mania tapings, The Miz didn't participate in this bout after showing up to the building suffering from cold/flu symptoms. WWE booked with the three-way follow SmackDown regardless, though this week's go-home show will likely bring a major change - and that could mean a singles match.

On a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that the SmackDown Tag Team Championships could end up being contested by one member of each time with the ladder stipulation remaining intact. This would mean John Morrison vs. an Uso and one of Big E/Kofi Kingston.

That WrestleMania 36 spoilers haven't yet been leaked to the internet makes it hard to tell for sure. Either way, it's extremely unlikely that Miz was involved in the 'Show of Shows' tapings themselves, with his illness reportedly sparking Roman Reigns' decision to pull out.
