Big Change Coming To WWE WrestleMania 38 Title Match

With two weeks to go, WWE's WrestleMania 38 lineup is still taking shape.

As if this wasn't already clear from WWE television, Alpha Academy are to be added to the Raw Tag Team Title match at WrestleMania 38.

Rated RK-Bro defending their newly-won championships against the Street Profits was alluded to on this week's episode of Raw, with Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford using a recent win over Randy Orton and Riddle as justification for their shot. Orton disagreed, leading to Riddle and Ford going one-on-one, ending via no-contest following interference from Otis and Chad Gable.

Dave Meltzer writes in this week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the bout will eventually become a three-way following this angle.

RK-Bro have been Raw Tag Team Champions since the red brand's 7 March episode, when they defeated Alpha Academy and the now-defunct Seth Rollins/Kevin Owens tandem in a well-received three-way. Otis and Gable had held the straps for 142 days prior to this.

WrestleMania 38 takes place in Dallas, Texas on 2 and 3 April. There is currently no word on the date that will host the Raw Tag Team Title bout, though the SmackDown equivalent is set to take place on the first night.
