Samoa Joe returned to All Elite Wrestling at tonight's All Out 2022 pay-per-view, making his first televised appearance for Tony Khan's promotion in months.

The comeback came following FTR and Wardlow's trios victory over the Motor City Machine Guns and Jay Lethal. Lethal and his crew (also featuring Satnam Singh and Sonjay Dutt) were about to hit the ring when Joe's music hit and the ROH Television Champion came out, using his strap to neutralise Singh before Dutt ended up stuck in the ring.

Dax Harwood's daughter, whom Sonjay had baited by replacing "girl" with "brat" on one of her dad's "Fight like an eight-year-old girl" shirts, snapped Dutt's pencil, put a foot on his chest, and scored a ceremonial pin on the heel manager as the referee counted three.

Joe last wrestled under Tony Khan's umbrella on 23 July, when he defended the ROH TV Title against Lethal at Death Before Dishonor 2022. The big man has been absent due to filming commitments for Peacock's Twisted Metal series, though these recently wrapped, creating speculation on his return.

An extensive feud between Joe and Lethal, Singh, and Dutt had played out prior to his hiatus.
