Big Show Vs. Randy Orton Unsanctioned Match Set For Next Week's WWE Raw
WWE legends collide on 20 July.
The anticipated Big Show vs. Randy Orton feud blow-off match won't go down at The Horror Show at Extreme Rules this Sunday (19 July), but on the following night's episode of Raw.
WWE confirmed this during last night's show. 'The World's Largest Athlete' will collide with 'The Viper' in an Unsanctioned Match, which came about when Orton challenged Show to throw down after weeks of butting heads, leading to the former Giant saying "yes" after saving R-Truth from a mauling following the 24/7 Champion's loss to Randy.
48 years old he may be, but Show has been more active than usual in WWE this year, filling in in a number of big spots as the company attempts to navigate the challenges posed by the global health crisis. Prior to that, the seven-footer played a peripheral role in Samoa Joe and Kevin Owens' rivalry with Seth Rollins' stable. He also faced Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship just 20 minutes after the Scot had felled Brock Lesnar to take the strap at WrestleMania 36.
Orton, meanwhile, is in something approaching career-best form, despite injury robbing him of his and Edge's third big pay-per-view bout of the year.
