Big Swole Says AEW's Women Are Ready For Main Events
AEW's Big Swole makes big claims on the company's improving women's division...
All Elite Wrestling's Big Swole believes that the promotion's women are ready for the main event spotlight.
Swole said as much during a recent interview on Busted Open Radio, talking up the current AEW Women's World Champion in particular (h/t Fighter Fans for the transcriptions):-
"Most definitely, most definitely. I believe that we are putting in the work where we can main event. We should main event. I mean, I feel like if you have something that is leading up to… like the match with Hikaru Shida, Shida can main event AEW Revolution."
Shida is set to defend her Women's Title against the winner of AEW's ongoing Women's Championship Eliminator Tournament at Revolution on 7 March.
On how main-eventing a show would impact the division as a whole, Swole offered the following:-
"That would be amazing, you know? Just as something that will also lift the spirits of the women as well. It’s just, it’s a win win."
AEW's women are yet to headline a pay-per-view, special, or episode of Dynamite since the promotion's inception. Swole, meanwhile, had a shot at the Women's Title on the TNT flagship's 14 October 2020 episode, losing to Shida.
