Big Update On Impact Wrestling's Good Brothers' Contract Status
Could the Good Brothers be heading for WWE or AEW waters in the near future?
The Good Brothers time within Impact Wrestling could be about to reach its end.
Back when the one-time WWE and NJPW stars agreed to come aboard the Impact Wrestling ship in the wake of being released by the former in 2020, the eventual Impact World Tag Team Champions signed two-year deals with their then-new employers.
Said deals were reportedly set to conclude in July. But despite some reports suggesting otherwise, the two aren't actually officially classed as free agents at this current moment in time, with Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows reportedly agreeing to contract extensions that would see them perform through August.
According to Fightful Select, these deals will see the twosome appear on Impact programming through the upcoming Dallas, Texas tapings on August 26 and 27.
Following on from that, Gallows and Anderson will then head over to NJPW for a number of weeks in September, with the team very much being classed as free agents by that point.
It's worth noting that Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp had also heard that the former O.C. pair were set to work with NJPW through their upcoming Wrestle Kingdom 2023 PPV.
Outside of their NJPW adventures, though, it isn't exactly clear what the future will hold for these in-demand performers, with both WWE and AEW no doubt keeping an eye on their movements post-Impact.
