Following the scary news that ‘Road Dogg’ Brian James was hospitalised with a suspected heart attack last week, James’ wife has now posted a positive update on her husband’s condition.

In a Facebook post, Tracy James noted that Brian is due to be released from hospital today after it was confirmed that he has no blockages around his heart.

As Tracy detailed:

“Wanna give everybody an update I just got the best birthday ever!! my husband has no blockages and he’s getting to come home today we still have some doctor visits to take him to but his heart is good. Thank you all so much for all the prayers I do believe in that.”

It was over the weekend that Tracy announced that her husband had suffered an apparent heart attack late on Thursday night after returning home from Orlando’s most recent NXT tapings. After concerns over his heart and his kidneys, tests on his kidneys came back clear – and it was then a case of waiting to see what tests on Brian’s heart would show up.

Clearly it’s great news to hear that Road Dogg is faring well after this scare, although it seems likely that he’ll be missing from next week’s two-night NXT: TakeOver: Stand and Deliver event as part of WrestleMania Week.

These days, Brian James is a key backstage figure for the black and gold brand, working alongside Triple H and Shawn Michaels in putting together the NXT product.
