WWE Royal Rumble 2023 ticket sales are off to a great start.

Public sale for tickets to what will be WWE's second premium live event of 2023 started at 10 AM (CT) on Friday 30 September. Fightful Select reported that as of approximately 12 hours ago, the promotion had already shifted over 25,000 for the show, setting a new weekend for paid ticket sales and gross revenue during the first on-sale weekend for a Rumble event.

Royal Rumble 2023 is scheduled for San Antonio, Texas' 72,000-capacity Alamodome on Saturday 28 January. While WWE hasn't yet opened every feasible section for ticket sales (and staging configurations mean true capacity will fall beneath 72,000), Fightful notes that new areas may yet become available.

The Alamodome has hosted Royal Rumble twice in the past. Per WWE's numbers, the 1997 show drew a recorded attendance of 60,477 in the building, which would stand as the highest in the PLE's history. Second highest is the 2017 Rumble, also at the Alamodome, which is believed to have been watched by 52,020 live fans.

Royal Rumble 2022, by comparison, pulled in 44,390 attendees to The Dome at America's Center in St. Louis, Missouri.
