BIG Wrestler's Contract Expiring In AEW Soon... (AEW News)

A former WWE star's deal with AEW is set to run out. He hasn't signed new terms at time of writing.

Fightful Select reports that Big Bill's deal with AEW is set to expire at some point at the end of May or the beginning of June, and the towering big man hasn't signed fresh terms with Tony Khan's company yet. So, it looks likely that Bill could be leaving All Elite sooner rather than later.

The former WWE star debuted in 2022 as a surprise opponent for Wardlow, and he's since gone on to win tag gold with Ricky Starks (who's currently on SmackDown as Ricky Saints) before joining Chris Jericho's Learning Tree faction - Bill hasn't been spotted since that group dissolved and Jericho moved on.

In fact, his latest match under AEW's umbrella was actually for ROH. Bill teamed with Bryan Keith to defeat Nick Halen and Vin Parker in just over 2 minutes on the 30 April episode. That was taped all the way back on 6 April though, so it's been a while since Bill hauled on the blue jeans to work matches under Khan's watchful eye.

To that point, his last match on mainline AEW programming came via the 7 February edition of Collision.

Fightful heard from company sources in April that Bill's contract was set to expire in May/June. However, they haven't had word that he's sat down with Tony to renew terms.

This wasn't included in Fightful's report, but...could a WWE return to be on the cards? Stranger things have happened, and Bill is in a much better place mentally than the last time he worked for the organisation back in 2018.
