Big WWE Return Scheduled For Next Week's SmackDown

It's been a minute since you saw this wrestler, but he'll be back VERY soon!

PWInsider is reporting that AJ Styles is expected to return to action on next week's episode of WWE SmackDown.

Creative shot an injury angle in September to explain AJ's absence. The OC leader was taken out by members of The Bloodline, so that'll be something to keep an eye on once Styles returns to TV; there's every chance WWE will book some sort of AJ vs. Solo Sikoa or AJ vs. Jimmy Uso bout to put a bow on that particular story.

It'd be a shocker if Styles didn't get some measure of revenge, put it that way.

AJ's hardcore fans may be excited by something else in PWInsider's report. Their sources at WWE say Styles will be working a more regular schedule following his comeback. The 'Phenomenal One' has been somewhat of a bit-part player since working opposite Seth Rollins for the then-new World Heavyweight Championship earlier in the year, so it'd be sweet to see him in a high-profile role again.

Perhaps AJ will be slotted in vs. Roman Reigns to keep the 'Tribal Chief' busy through the end of 2023. Just a guess!
