Chris Jericho surely knows exactly what he's doing by posting this picture on his Instagram account. Either that or it's an innocent pic of buddies hanging out at an ice hockey game, but the pro wrestling fanbase is always going to read more into it. However you slice it, Jericho putting up a snap of he and WWE star Kevin Owens at a Tampa Bay Lightning game will get people talking.

It'll fuel rumours about Jericho's future for sure. He hasn't wrestled for current employer AEW since losing the ROH World Title to Bandido in a 'Mask vs. Title' bout at Dynasty on 6 April 2025. Since then, rumours have been rampant that Chris will actually leave Tony Khan's company and launch an audacious return to WWE.

If he does that, then several money-spinning matches under his old 'Y2J' banner and a Hall Of Fame induction surely await.

KO has been on the bench himself. He suffered a career threatening neck injury that kept him out of a planned WrestleMania 41 match vs. Randy Orton. Joe Hendry replaced Owens in that spot as a last-minute surprise, and it seems like Kev will be on the sidelines for a long time as he rehabs his neck.

It's good to see him smiling and looking happy in this photo with Jericho though. Together, the pair enjoyed an iconic run as tag-team partners then enemies between 2016-2017. Indeed, the 'Festival Of Friendship' segment both produced on an episode of Raw during that time has become stuff of legend.

So, is this the latest clue that Jericho is WWE bound? Maybe/maybe not, but he's a savvy politician who surely knows that merely posting a pic like it will fan the flames and have people pondering his future in AEW.
