"That's millions of dollars of difference" for Da Man.

Speaking on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer has stated that Bill Goldberg has a very specific deal which relates to WWE's Saudi Arabia events.

When co-host Bryan Alvarez discussed how Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns and Bianca Belair vs. Sasha Banks vs. Becky Lynch are the only two announced matches for Crown Jewel 2021, Meltzer was quick to add how Goldberg vs. Bobby Lashley will be happening at that event solely due to how Da Man's contract means he'd be paid "millions of dollars" less should that bout somehow be moved to standard WWE TV or a regular, non-Saudi PPV.

"Obviously, the one match that is also gonna be there is Lashley and Bill Goldberg. That one won't be on TV because Goldberg does have a specific deal when it comes to the Saudi shows that are very, very lucrative. If you were going to pull his match to put it on TV, he would not be happy whatsoever at that. That's millions of dollars of difference. It's not like the other guys, where really it doesn't make a difference."

During an appearance on The Bump to promote this year's SummerSlam match against Lashley, Goldberg revealed how he has two matches remaining on his WWE deal. Whether this included said SummerSlam bout was left unclear, but obviously one of these contract matches will be the upcoming rematch against the All Mighty.

Ahead of tonight's Raw, WWE has already announced Goldberg will be making an appearance on the company's next red brand episode, with this likely to further the ongoing issues between the four-time World Champion and Lashley.

Having not been to Saudi Arabia since February 2020 due to the small matter of a global pandemic, WWE returns to Riyadh's Mohammed Abdu Arena on Thursday 21 October for this next Crown Jewel event.
