Bobby Lashley Responds To Goldberg: "No Thanks, Old Man"
Lashley shoots down Goldberg's WWE Title challenge following this week's Raw.
In what is almost certainly a spot of character work ahead of an eventual SummerSlam 2021 match, Bobby Lashley has responded to Goldberg's WWE Title challenge with "No thanks, old man."
The WWE Champion tweeted the following on Tuesday evening, seemingly dismissing the WCW icon:-
You don’t belong in the same world as me, let alone the same ring. Get that close again, @The305MVP won’t be able to hold me back.

This follows a confrontation between the duo on this week's episode of Raw. Goldberg returned to WWE programming for the first time since January, going face-to-face with Lashley after Bobby had defeated the returning Keith Lee. The segment saw Goldberg declare "I'm next!" before MVP and Lashley left the ring, with MVP refusing to respond when Kevin Patrick caught up with him and his client backstage.
Now, Goldberg has his response.
Lashley vs. Goldberg remains the likeliest WWE Championship destination for SummerSlam (21 August), which is being billed as a WrestleMania-calibre event with over 40,000 fans in attendance. WWE will surely keep building in that direction over the coming weeks.
Roman Reigns vs. John Cena for the Universal Champion is currently locked in as SummerSlam's main event. Cena continued that match's build on Raw, cutting a promo on Reigns after returning at Money in the Bank 2021.
