Brandi Rhodes does not have imminent plans to return to professional wrestling.

The former AEW Chief Brand Office has revealed as much in a new interview with Ten Count's Steve Fall. Rhodes, who has been out of wrestling since she and husband Cody departed AEW in February, said that restarting in the sport isn't among her current plans. While Brandi doesn't want to speak in absolutes, her top priority in departing AEW was ensuring Cody's dreams were realised.

Said Rhodes (h/t Wrestling Observer/Figure Four Online):-

"I'm not going to say absolutes but I will say right now, it's not in my plan. I kind of did myself a good service, I think, in taking a beat. My number one priority when everything happened and we left AEW, my number one priority in all of that was making sure that my husband's dream was realized because, hey, it's been a dream that's been in the making for him since he was four years old, so I think it's a good thing that you press forward and we've got to see this through."

Cody returned to WWE for the first time since 2016 this April, kickstarting a feud with Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 38. The former Stardust is currently sidelined, having torn one of his pectoral muscles ahead of facing Seth at Hell In A Cell 2022 (5 June), shelving him for up to nine months.

That Brandi could join Cody in re-signing with WWE has been speculated ever since. But while Brandi has at least trained for wrestling in 2022, she is currently focused on other endeavours:-

"I was kind of always on the back burner in that sense and working on other things. I've got Shot of Brandi out there in the ether, I started doing this podcast, and I do have some other things that are cooking in the non-wrestling world. So, in that period of time I got to spend a lot of time with my daughter, I got to watch her develop in these unexpected ways and find these different things that she's really thriving at and really liking and I wanted to really be a part of it. I won't say, 'no, it's not going to happen,' but I will say that right now, it's not front of mind for me."

Brandi last competed on a 26 January AEW Dark taping, defeating KiLynn King. This continued a winning streak that began the month prior, when Rhodes returned to the ring following a 14-month absence that commenced ahead of the birth of her and Cody's first child, Liberty.
