Brandi Rhodes Returns To A WWE Ring
Former AEW executive Brandi Rhodes just stepped foot in a WWE ring again...
Brandi Rhodes worked a match with a "newer talent" at the WWE Performance Center last week, surely amplifying speculation on her potentially joining the promotion in the process.
Fightful Select reports that Rhodes has been at the PC on several occasions recently, including on Friday 12 August, when she wrestled at one of the facility's in-house live events. There is currently no word on who she faced - though Brandi wasn't just there to visit.
There is no indication that this was any kind of tryout match for Brandi, who has been continually linked to a WWE deal since her husband, Cody, returned at WrestleMania 38. Nonetheless, stories like this inevitably get people talking.
Brandi has been out of the ring since facing KiLynn King at a 26 January AEW Dark: Elevation taping. She and Cody departed the Tony Khan-helmed promotion the following month, having worked without contracts since December 2021 - despite both serving as executives.
The closest Brandi has ever come to working a full-on WWE match was a battle royal spot on an FCW show in July 2011. Appearing as Eden Styles, she served primarily as a ring announcer during her first spell in the company, which concluded in 2016.
