With Braun Strowman having officially become a free agent earlier this week, the Monster Among Men's first post-WWE match has now been announced for Friday 1 October.

Seemingly competing under his real name of Adam Scherr, the one-time WWE Universal Champion will be facing EC3 at Free the Narrative II: The Monster In Us All.

To make this announcement, the former Strowman released the following teaser video:

An event put together by EC3, the formal word on the Free the Narrative ideal reads:

"Free The Narrative is a series that tells original and personal stories with some of professional wrestling’s biggest names, and those yet known. Free The Narrative is completely independent of any wrestling promotion. Set to an original score, FTN blends professional wrestling, cinema, and harsh reality in what will become the true definition of “creative freedom” for an industry that desperately needs it, and any performer that truly seeks it."

The first Free the Narrative event saw EC3 take on Matt Cardona, with names like Moose and Matt Sydal also featured on that show. As of this writing, no further names have been confirmed for Free the Narrative II bar the aforementioned Adam Scherr and Ethan Carter III.

One of the names released by WWE on 2 June, Scherr's 90-day non-compete clause expired yesterday - meaning he is now able to wrestle for any other promotion. Already, he's believed to have a verbal agreement to compete at Qatar Pro Wrestling's SuperSlam 3 special next February. Scherr will fly out to Qatar this month to sign a deal for that show, with him purportedly joining EC3, Jon Moxley, Brian Cage, Sammy Guevara, Will Ospreay and Hiroshi Tanahasi on that card.
