Braun Strowman's Injury Status - WWE TLC 2018 Match In Doubt?
Will the 'Monster Among Men' miss TLC?
Dave Meltzer has reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that Braun Strowman will soon undergo elbow surgery to clear out bone spurs.
Though the injury isn't as bad as the "shattered elbow" WWE's official website claimed today, it will (in all likelihood) keep him out of TLC on 16 December. That means his scheduled TLC match against Baron Corbin would be postponed, and Strowman will instead rest and heal up for his other big date, a Universal Title match with Brock Lesnar at Royal Rumble on 27 January.
The required surgery is why WWE booked the steel steps angle they did on Monday's episode of Raw. Meltzer did also say that it's "touch and go" on TLC. There is a chance Braun will be raring to go in mid-December, but WWE officials aren't keen to take any risks and lose him for longer.
It's interesting that Corbin was the one to kayfabe bench Strowman too. The fact he delivered the crushing blow suggests WWE want to tie up that story whenever Braun is healthy again. There is no escape from this Strowman vs. Corbin match.
