Andrade has finally come to terms on his release from WWE.

The former NXT Champion had alluded to some "good news" in a tweet just hours before the company presented their Fastlane pay-per-view. WWE confirmed yet more mounting speculation on his departure with official news of the exit on Twitter once some of the dust had settled on their first Peacock supercard.

Keeping it typically formal, the tweet simply noted that "WWE has come to terms on the release of Andrade. We wish him all the best in all of his future endeavors". It linked to a website article posting an identical update.

Andrade's potential departure has been the talk of the online community for the last week or so, following initial reports that he'd had a request turned down as well as follow-up stories that the company had jettisoned attempts by Charlotte Flair to pitch an angle featuring the two of them.

The release comes just short of six years shy from his 2015 signing. He was last featured on television in October 2020, having experienced mixed fortunes on the main roster since his 2018 call-up. His manager/on-screen partner Zelina Vega was released right as he was rendered invisible on the red brand.
