Any wrestling fan who reads the internet knew heading into WrestleMania 32 that Brie Bella was likely wrestling her final match for WWE.

However, WWE did not acknowledge the fact, even while Brie was given a heroic send-off by her fellow womens wrestlers following the bout. Brie was also originally scheduled to give a farewell speech on Monday Night RAW, but those plans were scratched.

The official announcement of Brie's retirement is being saved for an upcoming season of Total Divas, which caused the change in plans. Apparently the retirement issue will be an on-going storyline in the next season of the show, with cameras following around Bella as she deals with her husband's retirement, as well as the future of her own career.

The reason for Brie's decision comes down to wanting to start a family with Daniel Bryan; wrestling just isn't in the cards when you are trying to conceive a baby. Further, with her husband now home from being on the road permanently, Bella obviously wants to spend more time with him rather than traveling from town to town for WWE.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reports that Brie Bella has signed a new contract with WWE, and she will now be serving in an ambassador role for the company, while also continuing her role on Total Divas.
