British Wrestling Veteran Rampage Brown Set For WWE NXT UK Debut
NXT UK is about to get a whole lot more interesting.
British wrestling veteran Rampage Brown is officially coming to NXT UK.
The company released a promo video highlighting the fact that the Leeds-born bruiser was "incoming". Brown recently signed with WWE and reported to their UK-based Performance Center in London in the last week.
In case you didn't know, Rampage actually appeared on WWE programming back in 2008 under his real name of Oliver Biney. In that appearance the star was convincingly squashed by WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry on an episode of ECW. Brown also worked in FCW for a spell in 2011 and went by the name of Monty Lynch, but was released in July of that year.
On the independent scene, Rampage has worked in promotions such as PROGRESS Wrestling, RevPro, World of Sport, ICW, and, of course, WCPW.
Commenting on WWE's latest signing, former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre simply tweeted, "...Finally. A huge get for NXT UK."
As a former PROGRESS Champion and World of Sport Champion, it surely won't be long before Rampage Brown sets his sights on becoming WWE NXT UK Champion. But a certain Austrian juggernaut by the name of Walter may have a thing or two to say about that...
