Both Wednesday night wrestling shows posted disappointing television ratings this week, as AEW Dynamite fell from 0.32 to 0.28 in the key 18-49 demographic and WWE NXT slumped in this and overall viewership, but Britt Baker vs. Thunder Rosa was the night's big winner.

The first women's main event in AEW history saw a gain of 119,000 viewers compared to the previous quarter. This made for a total of 795,000, which was above Dynamite's average for the night - 768,000.

No other quarter-hour on NXT or Dynamite saw such big gains. AEW's fifth quarter (featuring Eddie Kingston and Jon Moxley vs. The Good Brothers) came closest with 94,000 new viewers tuning in.

Baker vs. Rosa was hyped up as a must-see match before Dynamite had even hit the airwaves. It turned out to be one of the most brutal women's bouts in American wrestling history, and worthy of the lavish praise it drew in the aftermath.

Though disappointing after last week's big Pinnacle formation angle, AEW's 0.28 rating was still enough for the show to finish sixth on the night amongst cable shows. NXT's 0.13 rating saw it finish 42nd.
