Brock Lesnar On ESPN Talking The Undertaker & McMahon/White

Brock Lesnar appeared on ESPN Sportscenter On Tuesday morning and was asked about a number of things including breaking The Undertaker's undefeated streak at WrestleMania 30 in 2014.

"It was a very strange experience for me, because the legend of The Undertaker was supposed to live on. A lot of weight on my shoulders, to be the guy to take that away from the company, the fans, and even my co-workers. But at the end of the day, it was a business decision by Vince McMahon, and, hey, I'll take the win whenever I can. When you're in the business and you're an athlete and a performer, you're consumed and you're an athlete, a fan. You're a fan of the work and you're a fan of... a lot of these guys that are working now grew up with the Undertaker, watching the Undertaker. WrestleMania was his show and I took that away."

Those are some interesting comments from Lesnar, but he's right in saying it was Vince's business move and he was just doing his job.

Lesnar was asked about Dana White going on Twitter a few weeks ago to say that wrestling was "fake," which caused quite a stir among people on social media.

"Well, of course, Dana, it's fake, everybody knows that, but you're promoting the same thing we're promoting. Dana White is promoting fights, we're promoting fights. It just so happens we get a little more longevity out of our fight and out of our fighters because of the circumstances. It is a staged arena, everybody knows that. If you can't turn WWE on Monday night and get something out of that show and be entertained, then there's something wrong with you. Dana is probably, in his defense, is promoting fighting, but it's the same thing. He's trying to sell pay-per-views, he's trying to sell money fights, it's the same racket."

Well said by Lesnar. They are both promoting fights although in WWE's case the audience knows it's a scripted fight and in UFC it's real. Both forms of entertainment work and both of them are very successful. Another interesting comment from Lesnar took a shot at UFC President Dana White, who Lesnar used to work for when he was the UFC Heavyweight Champion.

"(MMA is) non-rehearsed, absolutely, but the business model is the same, it's identical. I think Vince McMahon is better at it than Dana and that might rub Dana the wrong way... Vince is the pioneer of it. He's been doing this his whole life and he's damn good at it."

It's no surprise that Lesnar would support McMahon with a statement like that. That's his boss and that's the company that is paying him right now. When Lesnar was in UFC it wasn't the same thing because UFC guys talk about the real aspect of it as a big selling point. This just shows that Lesnar is very smart at promoting what he's doing even if he's not doing a lot of talking when he's on WWE TV. Lesnar came across very well. He was well spoken, he laughed and had a good quote that summed it all up: "I love being in the ring. Everything else? I don't care too much for (laughs)." Thanks to Prowrestling.net for the quotes.
