It doesn't sound like Brock Lesnar vs. GUNTHER is part of WWE's current plans for WrestleMania 39.

The Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer claims that on several occasions, he has been told that Lesnar's 'Mania opponent is not GUNTHER. This is despite WWE teasing a potential collision between the two in this year's men's Royal Rumble match.

Lesnar is currently booked to face Bobby Lashley at Elimination Chamber 2023 next Saturday (18 February). GUNTHER is yet to be placed into a new Intercontinental Championship storyline, having recently wrapped a short program with Braun Strowman.

Lesnar, Sheamus, and Drew McIntyre are amongst the names speculated for GUNTHER at 'Mania. Of course, WWE being WWE, we may yet see him and Lesnar collide on the year's biggest show. Plans change, etc.

A recent interview on The Rob Brown Show saw GUNTHER call Lesnar his "end boss" in professional wrestling (h/t Fightful):-

“There was a time when Brock was young and he was wrestling Eddie (Guerrero) and Big Show and Kurt Angle, and the guy was fantastic. I always loved his matches and was very impressed with that and also with the recent years in WWE. I always thought it would a thing for wrestling and my style, that’s my end boss. I’ve been portrayed as the end boss in wrestling for a lot of guys, but I think Brock could be my end boss. I really hope the match goes down at some point.”

Yesterday saw GUNTHER hit 245 days as Intercontinental Champion, becoming the longest-reigning IC title-holder of the 21st century.
