Brock Lesnar To Defend Universal Title At WWE Great Balls Of Fire
Goodness gracious!
The American Airlines Arena announced Friday that WWE's scheduled Raw-brand Pay-Per-View on July 9th - previously rumored to be held under the "Bad Blood" name - will instead be called "Great Balls of Fire." The show will see Universal Champion Brock Lesnar defend his title.
The show will take place in the Dallas, Texas venue and will be the third Raw-exclusive PPV following WrestleMania. The first, Payback, takes place on Sunday at San Jose, California's SAP Center and will feature Roman Reigns versus Braun Strowman and Randy Orton versus Bray Wyatt. The next, Extreme Rules, will be held at Baltimore, Maryland's Royal Farms Arena on June 4. So far, nothing has been announced for that show.
Though Lesnar's opponent for Great Balls of Fire is unknown as of yet, the evening after WrestleMania, he and Paul Heyman laid out a challenge to Roman Reigns - only to be met by Braun Strowman. It is rumored that one of the two men - perhaps the one who wins their Payback clash - will challenge Lesnar.
Tickets for Great Balls of Fire go on sale May 5 at 10:00 AM local time, but there will be a pre-sale at 10:00 AM the morning prior.
