Brock Lesnar vs Alberto Del Rio Set For WWE Live Event (Dec 19)

The Beast will take on the United States Champion.

As more dates for Brock Lesnar's upcoming appearances have been released, speculation has begun on who the former WWE World Champion would be facing. He's been advertised for a non-televised live event taking place December 19th at The Forum in Inglewood, California, and now thanks to a company promotional email we know who he'll be facing. The man who has the daunting task of stepping in the ring with The Beast Incarnate? None other than current United States champion Alberto Del Rio. Here's the text from the email:
Don't miss WWE LIVE when it returns to the "fabulous" Forum on December 19th for the first time in over twenty years! Three Championship titles will be on the line as Roman Reigns will battle current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus. Brock Lesnar is set to go one on one with United States Champion Alberto Del Rio and current Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens will defend his title against Dean Ambrose. PLUS, Bray Wyatt, Kane, The Dudley Boys, The Miz, Dolph Ziggler, the WWE Divas, plus many more.*
While Alberto Del Rio isn't exactly the most interesting opponent they could have booked for Brock Lesnar, he's of a much higher profile than Kofi Kingston or Big Show; two men he faced on recent live events. It's also worth noting that this could see Brock cross paths with The League of Nations, which could result in him getting back in the main event scene just in time for the build to The Royal Rumble.
