With the wrestling world still in a state of shock at the tragic passing of Jon Huber at the age of just 41, Tony Khan has moved to announce that this week’s AEW Dynamite will be a celebration of Jon’s life.
As well as tributes to the former TNT Champion, Khan took to Twitter to reveal that this week’s Dynamite will feature the following matches:
- Cody Rhodes, Orange Cassidy & Peston ‘10’ Vance vs. Team Taz

As per Khan, Cody, Cassidy and 10 will be teaming together due to being a trio of -1’s favourite wrestlers. -1, of course, being Jon Huber’s son Brodie.
Additionally, Khan confirmed that AEW’s two-night New Year’s Smash programming will take place on January 6 and 13 rather than December 30 and January 6. That means that Kenny Omega defending the AEW World Championship against Rey Fenix will take place on next week’s Dynamite, with this week’s episode being solely dedicated to the life and career of Jon Huber, aka Brodie Lee.
