Brooke & Hulk Hogan Hadn't Spoken Since 2023 After Health Concerns Raised (WWE News)
Hulk Hogan's daughter was able to tell her dad she loved him before his death.
TMZ reports that Brooke Hogan and father Hulk hadn't spoken since 2023 before the iconic WWE star's death on 24 July 2025. The pair had become estranged in recent years, but Brooke was able to tell her dad that she loved him one final time, and had expressed concerns for his failing health during their last conversation over the phone.
Brooke's brother Nick texted her husband on Thursday morning with grim news that their father had passed away. That clearly isn't a message anybody wants to receive, so it must've come as quite the shock to the entire family. TMZ's sources say that Brooke hadn't talked to Hulk at all since "telling him she didn't think he should still be working so hard given his declining health" back in September 2023.
That was approx 2 weeks before Hogan married his wife Sky Daily.
During the call, Brooke reportedly urged her dad to "slow down and enjoy life", but the legendary wrestler wasn't interested in entertaining that. At some point during the chat, Hulk apologised to Brooke, but TMZ hasn't learned exactly what he was saying sorry for - her concern for his well-being wasn't "well received".
Sad news of Hulk's passing spread throughout the wrestling community and wider entertainment world on Thursday afternoon/evening. Countless top stars and old friends like Vince McMahon, Eric Bischoff, Ric Flair, Sting and Steve Austin posted messages on social media paying tribute to Hogan after his death.
Brooke's Husband Reached Out To Hulk
TMZ also reported that Brooke's husband "made multiple efforts to mend the relationship" between father and worried daughter over the years. He'd reached out following Brooke's frightening near death experience during childbirth, but "Hulk responded coldly and never made an effort to meet Brooke's kids".
The website's sources told them that Hulk "ultimately only wanted a relationship with her under his terms". However, Brooke remained concerned about her father's declining health in recent years, and she's grateful that she was at least able to tell him she loves him one last time.
Closing their write up, TMZ said that Brooke "feels at peace knowing she did everything she could to protect and support him". Even so, she'll be going through immense pain right now after losing her dad.
Reporters disclosed that Hulk's death was brought on by cardiac arrest. No further details are available at this time, but it's heartbreaking to think that he hadn't spoken to his own daughter in 2 years.
