Bruce Prichard "Tired" & "Stressing" Running WWE Raw & SmackDown?
Overseeing two shows is a LOT of work for one man.
It doesn't sound like Bruce Prichard is having the best time running WWE Raw and SmackDown at the moment.
Prichard's Something To Wrestle podcast cohost, Conrad Thompson, was a guest on Wrestling. Inc's own pod last week, and stated that the former Brother Love is "tired, sleepy, and stressing" in his new role as creative lead for WWE's two biggest shows.
"It's not a little bit of stress, it's a lot of stress. Every now and again I'll get a call from Bruce and you can just hear it on his voice," said Thompson. "I can only imagine the amount of curveballs coming his way, not just from running a show on FOX, but also USA. As if that wasn't enough, it's also happening during a [global health crisis] on a closed set."
Thompson went on, speculating on the constant rewrites the current situation has likely caused and the huge volume of moving parts conspiring to make Bruce's job trickier.
Prichard took on his dual role after Paul Heyman was deposed as Raw Executive Director last month. He had served in the same role on SmackDown since Eric Bischoff departed in late 2019 and his fingerprints have been all over both brands lately, with each taking on an increasingly Vince McMahon-friendly tone.
