Bruce Prichard Blasts "Horsesh*t" Rumours Surrounding His Recent WWE Absence

Here's the real reason why Bruce Prichard was absent from WWE's December schedule.

WWE Senior Vice President Bruce Prichard moved to torch "horsesh*t" rumours surrounding his recent company absence during the latest episode of his 'Something To Wrestle With' podcast.

Prichard was notably missing from numerous TV tapings throughout December, and several reports claimed that his sabbatical was linked to COVID-19 concerns. Via his pod, Bruce set the record straight by revealing that he was actually on holiday in Mexico towards the end of the year.

He and cohost Conrad Thompson joked that Bruce suffered "a little bit of Montezooma’s Revenge" (diarrhoea) whilst on vacation, but that was the extent of his health concerns.

Prichard noted that he's typically taken some time out from WWE during the Christmas and New Year period since the 1980s. That's just what he likes to do, because it's a hectic time of year and he likes to get away from everything as much as possible.

In total, because of that pre-taped 'best of' show WWE ran on last week's SmackDown, Bruce missed three episodes of TV. He was back in the saddle for last Sunday's Day 1 pay-per-view, and is expected to work a full schedule going forwards.
