A segment designed to build hype for Bianca Belair and Carmella's Money In The Bank 2022 match was pulled from last Monday's Raw.

Fightful Select's backstage notes from the show state that the duo were originally due to participate in a contract signing for their Raw Women's Title fight. However, this didn't end up happening, and there's no word why.

Belair and Carmella conducted an in-ring segment regardless. This began with the champion speaking to interviewer Kevin Patrick, leading to Belair calling her MITB opponent out. A verbal back-and-forth followed before a fight almost broke out, though Bianca was wise to 'Mella's attempted sneak attack, putting her out of the ring before she could do damage.

Carmella had emerged as Bianca's Raw Women's Championship contender following an injury to Rhea Ripley, who was initially booked to face Belair at the 2 July premium live event. Belair wound up beating Carmella in a relatively straightforward seven-minute match but was beaten down after the bell, suggesting the feud may continue.

Now 93 days into her first run as Raw Women's Champion, Belair has had the gold since defeating Becky Lynch in an acclaimed WrestleMania 38 match.
