Carmella was revealed as WWE's mystery woman on the latest episode of SmackDown. Yes, take a second to sit down, because you must be absolutely stunned by this news.

On Friday night's show, 'Mella appeared in another vignette to say she'd lost her way over the past couple of years. Specifically, she cited her run alongside R-Truth as a low point and claimed she wasn't prepared to be remembered as a "dancing fool".

Leave Fandango out of this, please.

Seriously though, this looks to be a soft reboot for the abandoned 'Emmalina' character from several years ago. There are also definite touches of Sable and the gimmick Eva Marie was working before she left the company.

It could be a good fit for Carmella. She seems comfortable with the character, and her promo (during which she described herself as being "better than everyone" else and "untouchable") was believably arrogant.

Of course, it'll take more than that for her to motor back to the top of the SmackDown women's division, but it's a strong start. Carmella, in theory, could be a neat first rival for Sasha Banks when the 'Legit Boss' inevitably wins that Women's Title from Bayley.
