Carmella Vs. Nikki Bella Added To WWE No Mercy Card 2016
More women's action at No Mercy.
After more than a month's worth of a rivalry, Nikki Bella and Carmella will finally meet in a one-on-one match. On Tuesday's Smackdown, a bout pitting the former Divas' Champion against "The Princess of Staten Island" was made for No Mercy.
Nikki Bella returned to WWE at SummerSlam after 10 months on the shelf due to a neck injury. In her comeback, she replaced the suspended Eva Marie in a six-woman tag team match, eventually pinning Carmella to give her team the win.
Bella was part of the heel squad, picking up where she left off before injury, but she received such an overwhelmingly positive reaction from the crowd that she was immediately turned babyface. Carmella turned heel a couple of weeks later when she attacked Bella's surgically repaired neck.
Since then, the two women have been at each other's throats, with Carmella interfering in Bella's matches and getting disqualified from tag matches due to her desire to inflict extra pain upon "Fearless Nikki." On Tuesday, Bella finally snapped and chased Carmella to the back during another tag team bout.
No Mercy airs live on the WWE Network this Sunday at 8:00 PM ET.
