According to a report from PWInsider, Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood, best known for their stint in WWE as The Revival, have received a cease and desist order over their usage of the name The Revolt in promotional material since their WWE release in April.

The pair have responded that they will not be using 'The Revolt' going forward, but have trademarked the phrase, Fear The Revolt, and released merchandise featuring the expression, leading many to assume that would be their moniker in their post-WWE careers.

The cease and desist order comes from North Carolina indie wrestlers Caleb Konley and Zane Riley, who have been using the name The Revolt for their tag team for over five years. The pair also reportedly attempted to reach out and contact the first WWE Tag Team Triple Crown Champions about the trademark.

Part of the ten-page document from attorney Andrew Gerber states:

"The Revolt are well-known in the independent professional wrestling circuit and are the current PWX World Tag Team Champions. Mr. Burnett and Mr. Riley sell a range of Revolt-branded merchandise including t-shirts, hats, and DVDs, as shown in Exhibit B. The Revolt has been their passion for years and they have literally put their blood and sweat into building The Revolt brand and connecting with their fans."

Wheeler and Harewood's attorney has responded that the former Revival will be going forward as simply 'FTR', and that they cannot be held responsible for the reports misattributing their new name:

"Our clients do not intend and have never intended to call themselves FEAR THE REVOLT. They have at all times and in every way made it clear that their tag team name would be FTR, and that FTR can and would mean different things depending on their storyline and creative.
